English Assignment

A few days ago Mr. Zhou asked Mrs. Zhou if she would like to go to town with him. They could go at about ten, after Mr. Zhou had finished putting up those shelves. Mrs. Zhou agreed and said that she had some house cleaning to do but she would come along. Mrs. Zhou had to get Weiwen a present for his birthday and a pair of shoes for herself. Mrs. Zhou asked if they could leave a little later than ten. She needed to finish the washing and cooked lunch for Weiwen. Mr. Zhou replied that she did too much for that boy and claimed that he was old enough to get his own lunch. Mr. Zhou said that when he was Weiwen's age, his parents had expected him to do his share of the housework. But Mrs. Zhou argued that it had been twenty years ago. Things had changed since then. Mr. Zhou argued back that they had changed for the worst. Children had become spoiled. They had too many things and they didn't appreciate their parents. Mrs. Zhou told that Weiwen was a sensitive boy who got easily upset. But he appreciated them. Mr. Zhou replied that Weiwen was good when they bought him toys. Then, he said they will go to town at eleven, if it suits her better.
